We got the most gold we won rofl. If you won. Thats like (example) if your country got no gold or silver medals but 14 bronze medals and canada got no bronze or silver but got 13 gold I wonder who did better. The gold people did.

I'm sure Linage forgot about his own government's program called Own the Podium and their main intent on getting the most medals.

Own The Podium goal was to get the most medals yes but to get more medals means to do better in the Olympics overall which Team Canada did. We broke our countries best records like alot of records and got most gold medals a host country has ever got. So no it wasnt a fail and Canadians agree it wasn't. Team Canada also placed very hell way better then they have in past years in sports that were dominate in Europe like cross country skiing and biathlon. But as long as people think it has been justified it has and im sure not that much canadians will disagree with the performance in 2010.

So, by that reasoning the only team that wins anything sports wise should be the team that wins the most? What about the most consistent teams? Like Track, motorsports, swimming, wrestling, tennis, poker (some call it a sport now... stupid ESPN)... ect.
Props to canada for winning WINTER games when your country stands a chance to get snow any day of the year. Lets see Canada win something they never can do, I wanna see a Canadian out swim Michael Phelps. Hell I wanna see a Canadian out smoke him.
Though I still think all of China's team were men at some point in their lives.

No one can beat Michael Phelps in swimming, he hax just like Shaun White in Half Pipe. But for the smoking part ya im pretty sure someone in Canada can out smoke him.
I think its pretty cool having a country behind a sport where everyone is a fan of it. There were yells everywhere. I went to Walmart like 5 min after it to get stuff and they were screaming over the intercom ROFL. But then again a good amount of us were born and learned how to skate at a very early age. We just love our Hockey, grew up on it thats why I guess we are so attached to it. Thats why anything less then Gold well it doesnt suck but to us its like the only thing they want. Russia and America are good rivals tho, but in my opinion Russia didn't play like they normally do which I was disappointed cause Russia is a great team and it sucks when you grow up watching Canada vs Russia and seeing your rival under perform it sucks really.
Yep, it's a compromise. You concede that you guys didn't get the most medals and we concede that we're not as good in hockey. But we both broke records (Canada with gold...US with total medals) among other things (Shaun White got the highest score for Snowboarding Half-Pipe ever in Winter Olympics history).
