I gained about 900 points in 3dMark Vantage with a 260
which is friggen huge!
but I cannot control my fan speed anymore
going to pick up far cry 2 tomorrow, have my best buy coupon and everything!

hmm. the last new set of drivers performed terribly for me. do i bother with these.
And apparently my copy of far cry 2 i pre-ordered was sent out today. 2nd class though  is annoying.

ya these drivers are fuggn awsome. playin crysis went up 5fps vs the old 178 drivers i had.... very stable and the AI is much better.

These are BRILLIANT.
i DL'd them from the nvidia website.
And its a fkin FRAPS INSTALL....
Seriously wtfudge.
Tried dling em twice. Both times the extractor brings up a fraps install. wether i cancel or install fraps the setup ends...
So somethings fucked up somewhere.

I don't know what my old resluts (I meant to type results, but I kinda' like the sound of resluts) would have been, but this is what these drivers do for my 8800gts. Far Cry 2 makes my eyes gush it looks so pretty. I had AA cranked higher, but it was a performance killer. I turned it off, and couldn't even tell the difference except my framerate improved a lot.

hehe the game is semi buggy
Only played an hour, long day and tired...
1. need to crtl + enter to get into fullscreen
2. prob with the 180.24 drivers / had to set dx to 10 in config file or my screen went black
3. cant get the benchmark utility to work
4. cannot get the map editor to open
but the game is very playable @ high resolutions
19 x 12 on a 260 with some 4x AA is doing good
