And here I've had the same problem as well with my Asus Mobo. I cranked the voltages up and that took care of the problemfor 99% of it (going form a daily crash to a monthly crash), till I killed it with a screwdriver.

ahahahaha...RIP.

thats to bad mofo that you hate ASUS... Even though they have the top market share for motherboards EVGA 2nd and Gigbite 3rd...

When ever i hear a problem that someone has with ASUS is because they buy a cheap mobo. if you buy a motherboard for 80bucks and think it is going to oc and do everything a 200+ mobo is going to do then that person is mistaken!!! I still have my 590 amd SLI or M2N32 SLi Delux wifi... Iv been ocing that thing since i got it... I have voltage's cranked up, I have north bridge and south bridge oced ram oced... Never have had one problem. Oh and im running a AM2+ processor on it, which the board is only a AM2 socket...

Plus many others have done the same and I have never hurd one complaint till now... So I dont know if you maybe got afew bad boards or maybe you screwed something up? Or maybe you got a cheap board and expected to much out of it!? Im sorry but reviews from top testers and reading reviews from newegg have never lead me down a wrong path! I totaly stand behind what ZZ said too!!! People fuck things up and when they do, they want to blame someone else for there fuck up! Trust me I see it all the time in the car industry!!! People driving hondas and never changing there oil on a new car, says hondas are junk when they blow up the motor and expect us to fix it for free... Same difference...

naw...I expect a 200$ board to work and be stable with no OC.
I've had to deal with so many ASUS boards that were crap, it can't even funny any more (at work and at home)/

that doesn't account for the all of the others who've had bad experiences with ASUS's non-cheap shit.

remember, ASUS's low-end eventually became a separate company and their stuff is not bad.

and no matter how much I try, I can't be responsible for their design flaws....come on....who'd in their right minds would have a SATA RAID but only have one internal SATA connector for the RAID!?!

nope....never said hondas are bad...they are pretty reliable and easy to fix. That's been proven time and time again.

now....same can't be said with those idiots who put a Cessna wing like spoiler in the back or a coffee can sized muffler/exhaust.

I get a good chuckle every time I see one of those on the road.

Does EVGA really have the 2nd largest market share? I wouldn't think an all nForce lineup would sell very well, but I guess fanbois are fanbois. I've always understood the "big three" to be ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI. I personally have had the best experiences with MSI boards, but I know that there's horror stories with every manufacturer so I just buy whatever looks to be the best bet at the time.

ditto for me.
MSI's been pretty rock-solid.
Gigabyte is ok for the first year or two...then the mobo just dies.
Good luck getting a proper RMA....had a nightmare of a time trying to get them to RMA one of their video cards that started getting corruption and blue-screens. Ended up, giving up entirely when they kept sending different but still defective cards (it didn't matter which rig it was put in...it would die even in DOS)

The problem is that ASUS POSES as the top dog. They ARE within the top 10. Asus boards, especially their INTEL (Ahem, seriously, when's the last time you seen an AMD board with half it's weight in aluminum heatsinks?) product line, have rediculiously overpriced, overcooled (even if the owner was using a Nitrogen cooling setup) and overexuberant setup on them. It's just like the car above. Half that shit can be stripped and the board will perform JUST as well without it.

As for the cheap boards... what honestly is there on a current $80 - $100 board that isn't on a $200+ board save for a better setup for multi GPU usage? The multiphase powering? That kinda stuff just makes your computer use more power once you get past 4-6 phases anyway right now. Processors don't use THAT much power unless somehow during Liquid Gas Cooling they use in upwards of 300 watts on the processor alone.

I wish Asus would put it's engineers as far away from the marketing team as possible when making the board. And then give the marketing team free reign on where they can put stickers on the finished product, yanno, the kind I can peel off before I actually install the board. Wink

I recommend putting some of those engineers on the marketing team to at least give the marketing dept a brain.

well...some of that extra power is to provide cleaner power as not all power supplies can provide clean, stable power; non-clean power can lead to random crashes and "weirdness"

Ok question for you, what happens if you got a shipment of defective mobo's or maybe you just got totaly unlucky and got 5 or 6 mobo's that might of had a issue with soemthing... So just cause you experianced afew boards with something wrong with them the whole brand is shitty. I just dont understand how your the first person iv ever herd of that has ever had a problem with the brand. im totaly sure there are other people, but i read review after review, not only from testers but on sites from poeple that order them for home use. Never have i read anting bad. other than maybe an issue with sata port being to close to something or something very minor...

but im going to lock this thread cause your totaly right. ASUS mobo's suck cause you got afew bad boards.
