Thanks so much for finding that. Unfortunately, Fry's only matches competitor's prices if you bring in an add showing the price. They do not match online prices.  I wish they did.
I'm going somewhere tomorrow to buy a laptop. Either Stonecrest, McDonough, or Duluth. I don't think I want to spend $1200.

Somewhat on topic...I'm also in the market for a laptop. I've never owned one before so I haven't really developed a brand preference yet. My one at work is a Dell, and they generally seem like a good bet. Who would you guys suggest as a solid choice?
Dell?
HP?
Toshiba?
ASUS?
SONY?
Other?
I've seen mixed reviews from all of the above. On ASUS in particular I'm leaning towards no based on some bad experiences I've had with them...but I dunno. I know well enough what specifications to look for, but it might be worth mentioning that I will not be using it for gaming. Thus I'm avoiding purchasing a "gaming" laptop that you can fry and egg with, or one that would otherwise require something stupid like an external cooler to keep from blowing up. I'm going to be using it for some of my grad school work starting in the fall, and will still have my desktop computer for my gaming needs. Just a somewhat decent machine able to easily do some number crunching and Word/Excel/Powerpoint etc.

I got the Qosmio.
It is bad ass. I love it. It is better than my main desktop.
I can play GTAIV with all the settings maxed out at 1680x945 with 40-60+ fps.
There is nothin like killing hookers while on the go.
