Hi All,
The long time FG clan, ALW, is stepping down as the staff as FearedGamers. The clan itself is still here and will be forever, so we're not going anywhere; however, new staff must be recruited to take on positions that will help FearedGamers grow into a bigger and more thriving community.
Below are jobs that I feel should be filled within the community. Each person will have their area of responsibility and it will be their job to make their area work the best they can. Right now, jobs are on a first come first serve basis. If you would like to volunteer for a position, post it in this thread and your name will be added.
After all jobs are filled, we'll have a large leadership meeting where we'll go over what each job will need to accomplish.
For those of you who are active within the community, this is for you. Please make sure that you'll have time to commit to your particular area and please take this very seriously. No joke posts please.
FearedGamers Job List
- TF2 Map Quality Officer - [FG]Narwhal
(Will make sure maps on the server are popular and keep the server populated, as well as run map testing nights.)
- FG Recruiting Officers X4 - Optimustron, Jonathon92, dacrazybird, Adamation
(Will work on ways that we could bring in more people to the community. May require planning for other job areas to participate in recruiting events.)
- TF2 Admin Management Officer X2 - -]alw[-Chef
(Will monitor and choose admins for the server, based on a set of requirements to be an admin. Will also be responsible for making sure admins follow admin rules and take necessary steps to ensure that admins are dealt with appropriately.)
- Front Page News Officers X3 - Sebastien, Chuck, SpecialKLSX
(Will be responsible for filling the front page with gaming news and other FearedGamers news. This is important to the recruitment process.)
- New Game Committee Leader - Gmolah
(Will be responsible in getting feedback from the community on what up and coming games should be considered as being added to the FearedGamers game list and how we could build a bigger community with a new game.)
- FG Event Officers X2 - BenKenobi, Brams Mom
(Will be responsible for running events for games that FG currently supports. The point of these events will be to retain current FG members as well as bring in new members.)
- TF2 Manager - [FG]Narwhal
- MTA Manager - -]alw[- Smoke
- Forum Admin/Moderator Managers - -]alw[- Linage, -]alw[- Lax
(Will be responsibly for picking members that should be moderators on the forums as well as a set of rules that should be enforced on the forums so that forums do not become cluttered.)
- FG Web Site Re-design Committee leader - Gizmo
(Will be responsible for leading a group in redesigning the FG website. The benefit will be a new face for current members as well as a more appealing website to newcomers.)
- FG Donation Manager - Exo
(Will be responsible for setting monthly donation goals. Will set out what the donations should be used for, and what the reward is for donating.)
- The little two - Welder, Warface
(These two will only be responsible for helping with areas that officers can't currently get to. (i.e. TF2 server box, donation bank, etc. They will give their input within the officer forums, but will not have decision making capabilities over other officers, unless that officer does something to harm the FG community.)
Again, I cannot stress enough how serious and important this new leadership is. Please consider taking a position, but also consider whether or not you will be a useful and contributing member of the leadership group.

Shit just got real.
I've got quite a few people to throw up my ][FG][ tag I am sure I can get some on the forums, but we probably need a more "user friendly" recruiter. |

I agree completely.
Also I will help in anyway you guys need. I am still a month off from being fully settled in my move where I can be active again so I won't volunteer but after that I will help any of the officers.
I think its a really good idea to spread the responsibility around the community.

Wow...I never expected this! This setup is exactly what I think will work best for the community. Thanks for all the hard work you've done on this Warface. You rock!

My thoughts on who would be perfect for what (although I know I can't make them apply) 
-FG Recruiting Officers X2 - Lethal & Exo (seem most inviting and effective out of anybody here in terms of getting new members in)
-Front Page News Officers X2 - SmokE & Bulk (both seem to be the primary contributors and would be good fits IMO)
-New Game Committee Leader - Warface (has done a really good job thus far at it )
-FG Event Officers X2 - Ben (for sure) & possibly myself or Chef (double dipping)
-FG Web Site Re-design Committee leader - Gizmo (has been the main man leading up the effort so far)
-FG Donation Manager - Welder (he's been doing it and has been doing it good)
In terms of what has already been chosen (again my personal thoughts since there seems to be a little bit of a dispute): I think that all three of the filled positions were filled by the best person possible...including Chef. Yea he "abuses" on occasion, but it's not really anything that bad. He has been very insightful to new admins from what I've seen. Also Linage always makes the right calls when to moderate in the forums. He is exactly the sort of person that we need leading the effort.
Another nice addition for this would be for ALL of the officers to be elected positions...with the obvious exception of Warface and Welder (the dogs running the whole show). This would ensure against someone getting drunk with power and/or going AFK as somebody who is making important decisions such as these. Polls every 3 months maybe???
